Who should buy Squeegee, and who should not?
Our verdict
Buy Squeegee if you run a window cleaning or bin cleaning round, with customers on repeat visits, and you want the app to plan the day, invoice as you go and collect payment by direct debit. Skip it if you do one-off jobs, quotes for bigger projects or trades that need certificates. A general job app such as ServiceM8 or Tradify fits that work better.
The one thing we would like Squeegee to fix is its pricing page. It names four tiers, but the price for each tier did not load for us. You can see the starting price, not what the middle tiers cost.

What does Squeegee do well?
Built for rounds
Window cleaning is repeat work: the same houses every four or eight weeks, in a set order. Squeegee is designed for exactly that. It plans your schedule, checks addresses, maps each job and optimises the route, with a different start and end point for each worker.
Invoice as you go
When you mark a job done, you can send the invoice "with just one swipe". Squeegee then sends payment reminders automatically. On a big round of small cleans, that cuts out a lot of evening invoicing.
Getting paid automatically
Customers can be invited to set up automated payments through GoCardless (direct debit) or Stripe (card). Squeegee says more than a million payments go through the app every month. For window cleaners, cash and "I'll pay next time" are the biggest headache, and automated payment fixes most of it.
Messaging
Bulk messages send appointment reminders, invoice alerts and payment requests. Night-before texts mean fewer locked gates and missed cleans.
Strong reviews
Trustpilot rates Squeegee 4.7 from 169 reviews, and Google Play 4.6 from 309 (both checked 12 Oct 2026). Reviewers praise the time it saves and the support.
Where does Squeegee fall short?
- Tier prices are hard to find. Only the starting price (£15.83 plus VAT) was readable. Capterra UK shows £9.80, which conflicts.
- Not for project work. It is built around repeat visits. If you quote for bigger jobs, such as gutter replacement or conservatory roofs, a general job app handles that better.
- Accounting links not named. Squeegee mentions "integration partners" but we did not see Xero or QuickBooks named. Its own bookkeeping and VAT return tools may be enough for a sole trader. Check with your accountant.
- Customer portal not mentioned. We found no self-service customer portal on the pages we checked.
- Trustpilot note. Trustpilot flags that Squeegee has not replied to negative reviews. The only 1-star review (April 2026) described a billing error and poor service.
How much does Squeegee cost?
| Tier | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Core | Starting price "£15.83/mo + VAT" (the page does not say which tier this applies to) | |
| Advanced | Not readable | Check squeeg.ee/pricing |
| Ultimate | Not readable | Check squeeg.ee/pricing |
| Infinite | Not readable | Check squeeg.ee/pricing |
The pricing page lists "Add Unlimited Customers" under job management, but the page we read did not show which tiers include it. Payment provider fees are extra.
Worked example: a 300-clean round
Say you clean 300 houses a month at £20 each, all paying by direct debit:
- Squeegee: from £15.83 plus VAT, about £19.00 a month.
- GoCardless fees: 1% plus 20p per collection (Whito, read 4 Sep 2026) is 40p on a £20 clean, so £120 a month for 300 collections. Check GoCardless's current fees, as the provider sets them, not Squeegee.
- The same round on ServiceM8: 300 jobs needs the Premium plan (up to 500 jobs) at £119 a month.
- The same round on CleanerPlanner Pro: £29 a month, with GoCardless and SMS included on that plan.
For round-based work, both specialist apps cost far less than a general app priced by job count.

- Direct debit and card payments built in
- Route optimisation per worker

Cons
- Tier prices not clearly published

- Xero and QuickBooks not named
- No customer portal found

Who is Squeegee best for?
- Sole-trader window cleaners: the best fit. Low cost, and direct debit stops the chasing.
- Window cleaning teams of 2 to 10: a good fit, with worker assignments and per-worker routes. Ask which tier you need for multiple users.
- Bin cleaners and domestic cleaners on fixed schedules: a good fit.
- Cleaners doing one-off deep cleans or end-of-tenancy work: look at our cleaning business software guide instead.
What should I check before moving my round to Squeegee?
- Ask Squeegee for the price of each tier in writing, and which tier you need for your number of workers.
- Confirm whether a free trial or free version is currently offered, because Capterra UK and Squeegee's own page disagree.
- If you already collect by direct debit, ask Squeegee and your payment provider whether your existing customer mandates can move across, so customers do not have to sign up again.
- If your accountant uses Xero or QuickBooks, ask Squeegee which integration partners it supports today.
- Run a week of your round in the app before you cancel your old system.
Best alternatives to Squeegee
Clearest round pricing
CleanerPlanner
£19, £29 or £49 a month
Published prices, a 30-day trial, and GoCardless direct debit plus SMS on the £29 Pro plan. The £49 Team plan covers 5 users.
Best free plan
ServiceM8
Free for 30 jobs a month, then from £25 a month
Better if you mix rounds with one-off jobs and quotes. Pricing by job count gets expensive for big rounds of small cleans.
Strong for domestic services
Jobber
Core from $29 a month billed annually (US dollars on the UK page)
A polished app for cleaning and domestic services, but its UK pricing page showed US dollars when we checked.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the Squeegee app cost?
Squeegee's pricing page says plans start at £15.83 a month plus VAT, which is about £19.00 a month including VAT. There are four tiers: Core, Advanced, Ultimate and Infinite, with monthly and yearly billing. The prices for each tier did not load when we checked on 12 October 2026, so check the page for the tier you need.
Is Squeegee worth it for window cleaners?

Does Squeegee take direct debits?
Yes. Squeegee says it has secure Direct Debit payments built in, and its Google Play listing says you can take automated payments with Stripe and GoCardless. GoCardless charges its own fee, which Whito's September 2026 guide gives as 1% plus 20p per collection, capped at £4.
