Jobber is an excellent product, but it is built for North America. If you want pounds on the price tag, UK certificates and support in your time zone, these six alternatives are worth a look. We checked every pricing page on 12 October 2026.

Why do UK trades look for an alternative to Jobber?

Jobber is well rated: Capterra UK shows 4.6 from 1,487 reviews and the GB App Store 4.8 from 448 ratings (both checked 12 Oct 2026). The reasons UK users look elsewhere are about fit, not quality.

1. Prices in US dollars

Jobber's UK pricing page showed "All prices in USD" when we checked. Core was $49 a month with no commitment, Connect from $139 and Grow from $199. Prices "exclude sales tax where applicable", and VAT is not mentioned. Your monthly bill in pounds will move with the exchange rate.

2. Prices went up in 2026

PricingSaaS, a third-party tracker, recorded a rise on 6 April 2026: Core went from $29 to $49 a month, Connect from $99 to $139 and Grow from $149 to $199. The annual discount was then cut to 25%.

3. No UK certificates

We found no UK electrical or gas certificates (EICR, CP12 and so on) on Jobber's pages. For electricians, gas engineers and plumbers who serve landlords, that is a deal-breaker.

4. One-way Xero sync and no UK office

Jobber's Xero link supports the UK but only sends data one way, from Jobber to Xero. There is no Sage link that we found, and the site shows only a North American phone number.

5. Card fees and payments

Jobber Payments in the UK costs 1.4% plus 20p per transaction on all plans, according to a Jobber help article dated March 2024, and it is not available during the trial. That is a fair rate, but you can only test it after you pay. Alternatives offer their own routes: ServiceM8 has Tap to Pay on your phone, Powered Now works with SumUp card readers, and Fergus Pay charges 1.6% plus 20p for cards and also offers direct debit and Clearpay.

Jobber still has a lot going for it, especially for cleaning, gardening and lawn care. Read our Jobber review for the strengths.

What does the switch cost? A worked example

Take a 5-person team. On Jobber's monthly terms, Connect for 5 users was $199 a month and Grow for 5 users was $299, before any sales tax, and the pound cost changes with the exchange rate. Compare the pound prices:

Monthly list price for a 5-person team. Prices checked 12 Oct 2026
App and planMonthly costNotes
Jobber Connect (5 users, no commitment)$199USD; excludes sales tax where applicable
Jobber Grow (5 users, no commitment)$299USD; adds optional line items and job costing
Tradify Pro£1855 x £37; certificates included; VAT treatment not stated
ServiceM8 Growing£59Up to 150 jobs a month; unlimited users
ServiceM8 Premium£119Up to 500 jobs a month
Powered Now Professional£160 ex VAT5 x £32; certificates and MTD
YourTradebase£89 ex VAT£29 + 4 x £15

For a team with a modest job count, ServiceM8 is the cheapest like-for-like move. For a team that needs certificates, Tradify and Powered Now cost a similar amount to Jobber but are priced in pounds and built for UK paperwork.

Who should stay with Jobber?

Jobber is not a bad choice, and we would not tell everyone to leave. Stay if you run a cleaning, lawn care, landscaping or other domestic service business, you rely on its online booking and client features, and you do not need UK certificates or Sage. Its Grow plan adds optional line items (good-better-best quotes), automatic time tracking, job costing and two-way text messaging, and Plus adds an AI Receptionist and a Marketing Suite. Those are strong tools. The main risks are the dollar pricing, which makes your costs move with the exchange rate, and the 2026 price rises. If you pay annually, plan any move for your renewal date rather than mid-term.

Our verdict

For UK trades that issue certificates, switch to Tradify. For the best value, especially with a larger team, go to ServiceM8. For window and cleaning rounds, Squeegee is the low-cost UK option. If you run a cleaning or gardening business and like Jobber's booking and client features, there is no urgent reason to leave, as long as you accept dollar pricing.

How do you switch from Jobber without losing data?

  1. Run a trial alongside Jobber. Tradify, ServiceM8, Powered Now and Fergus offer 14-day trials; YourTradebase offers 30 days.
  2. Export clients and properties. Include service addresses, not just billing addresses.
  3. Export products and services. Your price list is the slowest thing to rebuild.
  4. Save PDFs of quotes, invoices and job notes you may need for disputes or warranties.
  5. Re-create recurring work. Jobber users often have many repeat visits; set these up before the first missed slot.
  6. Move payments. Jobber Payments in the UK charges 1.4% plus 20p per transaction. Set up the new app's card payments and update any saved payment links.
  7. Check Xero. Because Jobber's sync is one-way, Xero already holds your invoices. Disconnect Jobber and connect the new app, then look for duplicate contacts.
  8. Watch your renewal date. If you paid Jobber annually or chose a 1-year commitment, switch when it ends.

Tip: make sure your online booking link on your website and Google profile points to the new app on day one, or new enquiries will land in an account you no longer check.

Frequently asked questions

Is Jobber available in the UK?

Yes. Jobber has a UK pricing page and supports UK card payments through Jobber Payments at 1.4% plus 20p per transaction. But when we checked on 12 October 2026, its UK pricing page showed prices in US dollars only, and we found no UK office, UK phone number or UK certificates.

How much does Jobber cost in the UK?

Jobber's UK pricing page showed US dollars when we checked: Core $49 a month with no commitment, or $29 a month billed annually. Connect starts at $139 and Grow at $199 a month on monthly terms. Prices exclude sales tax where applicable. Extra users cost $29 a month each.

What is cheaper than Jobber?

ServiceM8 has a free plan for 30 jobs a month and paid plans from £25 a month with unlimited users. Squeegee starts at £15.83 a month plus VAT for round-based work. Powered Now Business is £28 a month ex VAT. All three price in pounds, so there is no currency risk.

Does Jobber do gas safety or EICR certificates?

We did not find UK electrical or gas certificates on Jobber's pages. Jobber has job checklists from its Connect plan, but not named UK forms such as an EICR or CP12. Tradify (from Pro), Powered Now (from Professional) and Fergus all offer UK certificates.

Does Jobber work with Xero in the UK?
